Q: I HAVE CLASS PAST THE CHECK-IN TIME ON FRIDAY, WHAT CAN I DO WITH THE TIME CONFLICT?
A: School first, for sure! Please mention your time conflict in your online registration form or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and we will take care of the situation.
Q: I’M BUSY ON FRIDAY, CAN I ONLY COME ON SATURDAY + SUNDAY?
A: Yes, but if there is any chance for you to come Friday, we still highly recommend it! Friday evening will definitely be a highlight with our amazing keynote speaker and activities. It will still be worth it to come to the rest of it. However, please let Lester Ko (email@example.com) know so that we can give you more specific instructions on how you can check in and find your team on Saturday!
Q: AFTER I REGISTER, WILL I GET CONTACTED DURING THE SUMMER?
A: You can expect to hear from your Spark leaders in late August. They will check in by email and subsequently Facebook and make sure you know what to expect and what to bring.
Q: HOW DO I GET PUT INTO GROUPS? CAN I CHOOSE?
A: We will sort you all Spark participants to the best of our ability according to STT Timetables, this essentially means you will be most likely in a Spark groups filled with students who will be taking same classes and sections as you are!
Q: WHAT SHOULD I BRING AND WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
A: Please come prepared with your Student ID, comfortable shoes/clothes, water bottle, cellphone, any personal medication if needed (i.e. inhaler, epipen), maybe a small amount of money ($10-$30) and ENERGY! If you really don’t feel like carrying anything around all day, you’ll be fine as long as you have your Student ID!
As for clothing, Just to notice that we will be moving around during the Spark, so get yourself comfy!
Q: I REGISTERED FOR THE SPARK BUT SOMETHING CAME UP AND I WON’T BE ABLE TO MAKE IT AT ALL. WHAT DO I DO? CAN I GET A REFUND?
A: Refunds can only be made if you let us know you are not able to attend The Spark. Just know that you’ll be missing out on an unforgettable experience. You’re ONLY A FIRST-YEAR ONCE! If there is any way you can come, we highly recommend it! Please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you request to cancel your registration and get your refund - the deadline to request cancellation with reimbursements is August 15. This allows us time to change T-shirt and food orders.
Q: HOW MUCH DO WE NEED TO PAY? WHAT DO WE GET?
A: The registration fee is $50 + 4$(Tax). Your registration fee allows us to give you a fully packed weekend - an experience you'll remember. You will be getting dinner on Friday, all your meals on Saturday (breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks), and a delicious meal on Sunday. On top of that, the three days will be full of fun activities, swag and a snazzy Spark t-shirt!
Q: IS THIS AN OVERNIGHT EVENT?
A: There is no overnight component to The Spark. Both Friday and Saturday evening will wrap up and you will be able to return to your residence room, or home off campus. Friday will formally wrap up around 9:30 pm, and Saturday has a night event that officially ends at 11:45pm - however students can leave whenever they would like.
