Welcome to The SPARK!
For some of you, welcome to Canada! For others, welcome to British Columbia!
For some, we welcome you to the city of Vancouver and for many of you welcome to UBC.
But for all of you, welcome to the UBC Sauder School of Business and welcome to the Amusement (s)Park.
What is the amusement (s)park?
Every year The Spark takes on a new theme and this year is Amusement Park themed. We called it Amusement (s)Park, because it’s an Amusement Park at The Spark! Get it?
If you’ve been to an amusement park before, you might have indulged in cotton candy, played carnival games or experienced the thrills of bumper cars,the heights of a roller coasters and taken in the views from the top of a ferris wheel.
Just like a visit to an amusement park, your journey at UBC Sauder will be full of excitement and new experiences. You’ll learn to juggle different responsibilities, say yes to new challenges, and make lasting memories with great friends and mentors along the way. The Spark is your ticket to the start of your Sauder adventure.
Join us and meet your new family! Let us ease your transition into Sauder because as different or new as this environment may seem, you belong here and we welcome you home.

Amusement (s)Park Opening Hours:
Programming will run in-person and on-campus (UBC Point Grey) from:
Friday, September 8 from 5:30 to 9:30 PM Pacific Time, and
Saturday, September 9 from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM Pacific Time
A detailed schedule is emailed to all registrants a few weeks before the Amusement (s)Park opens.
